The Wenzels are currently in the studio working on their 5th CD that should be available May 2008. The new album is turning out to be a revival of musical styles from the 40's, 50's and 60's with the unique stylings that only they can bring to the table. They cover styles from rockabilly to swing and even throw in some more modern sounding swing-rock just to liven things up a bit. Keep your eyes and ears open for their latest release and check back often for more from the band.

With Chris (Guitar/Vocals/Songwriting)and Scott (Drummer/Percussion) rejoining forces on this new album, the new sound has come full circle back to the original sound with the two founding members of the band. Scott is playing on a vintage Premier 4 piece drum kit and a Pearl World Series drum kit. Chris is using a Gretsch Country Club and a Gretsch Jet Firebird played through a 1966 Silvertone Twin Twelve and a 100W Fender Twin. Chris aqcuired the Silvertone amp to recreate his favorite guitar tone found on the album "Fashion Nugget" by Cake. Greg Brown (Former member of Cake) is a big influence on Chris and his current sound.
